Privacy Policy

Your privacy is fundamental to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Seviu collects, uses, stores, and protects your data when using our platform and our browser extension.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to offer and optimize our digital library system:

• Registration and Authentication Data: Your email address and the session tokens required to keep your account authenticated (via Supabase Auth). Your password is sent directly to the authentication service over HTTPS and is not stored by the extension.
• Saved Content: The current page URL, title, and favicon, together with the area, note, visibility choice, public metadata, tags, and summaries related to links you explicitly choose to add to your account.
• Usage Events (Analytics): Anonymous analytical data about how you interact with the platform (e.g., when a link is saved, when a limit is reached, or when an AI credit is consumed) for performance improvement and quota auditing purposes.

2. Browser Extension Strict Privacy

Our browser extension for Google Chrome and compatible browsers was developed following the principles of least privilege and Privacy by Design:

• On-demand only: The Seviu extension does not track your browsing history, open tabs, or web behavior in the background.
• Active Consent: The extension accesses only the URL, title, and favicon of the current tab when you open the popup. The backend may fetch public metadata from the selected URL after you confirm saving. The extension does not read the page DOM or private page text.
• No invasive collection: We do not read passwords, cookies, banking data, forms, or personal communications from other websites.

3. Data Storage and Security

All Seviu data is stored on secure servers managed by Supabase. We implement database-level security policies (RLS: Row Level Security), ensuring that only you have permission to read, update, or delete the links and metadata associated with your own account.

Seviu uses infrastructure, authentication, and Artificial Intelligence processors to operate the service. To enrich a link, these processors may receive the URL and public metadata such as title and description, exclusively to generate summaries, tags, and search features related to the user's requested action.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data or saved URLs, and we do not use them for personalized advertising. Data may be processed by infrastructure, authentication, and AI providers only when necessary to provide, secure, or improve requested Seviu features, or when required by law.

5. Limited Use of Extension Data

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This information is used only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose; it is not used for personalized advertising and is not made available for human reading except with specific consent, for security needs, or to comply with the law.

6. Your Rights and Control

You have full control over your information in Seviu. At any time, you can:

• Access, export, or transfer all saved links in your account.
• Edit or permanently delete individual links or folders.
• Request the permanent deletion of your account and all data linked to it in our databases, which is processed immediately and definitively.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The website uses local storage and strictly necessary cookies for the session and preferences. The extension uses chrome.storage.local to keep session tokens in the browser's local profile; this data can be removed by signing out or uninstalling the extension.
